We sure know how to celebrate the Holidays!

Check out these holiday traditions from King Innovation Employees….and be sure to leave us a comment below with your favorite way to celebrate this time of year!

My sister and I exchange books every year with a little note written in the front cover.  It makes for a great collection, and it’s always fun to look back at the notes in books from years past.

I loved when my dad and I used to stay up all night long on Christmas Eve, cooking and listen to Christmas carols.

In my Polish family, we don’t eat any meat on Christmas Eve.  Instead, we make carp, twelve side dishes, bread, and a plum drink.  At the table, there is always an extra plate made and an open chair so that any visitors will be welcome!

We hide a pickle ornament in the tree.  Everyone searches for the hidden pickle, and the one who finds it first gets an extra gift!

My sister and I make hot chocolate to go, put the kids in their pajamas, and get in the car to drive through neighboring subdivisions and look at Christmas lights and decorations.  One year we got lost and kept driving in circles…we were laughing hysterically as we kept driving past the same lights!

We anonymously contribute gifts to share with those who are less fortunate.  I know that I am helping to make Christmas special for a child that might otherwise be forgotten.

My sisters and I all spend a day together baking cookies that we share throughout the season with special friends.

Making a gingerbread house with my grand-daughter and grandson each year is my favorite tradition.

My husband and I live in Kansas City, so we are always traveling for the holidays.  On the night before we leave to head out of town, I cook a nice meal and we watch Christmas Vacation and open our presents to one another.  A nice relaxing evening before we head out of town for the hectic holiday fun of visiting both of our families in St. Louis.

End of Year Thoughts

I can’t believe another year is nearly past! And while this economy is affecting all of us, there are some very interesting things happening. Recently, the dollar dropped against the euro and yen, and gold struck an all-time peak. Things are tough right now for sure.

Over the years, I have recognized that often when we’re challenged and pushed hard beyond our comfort zone, some people will come up with incredibly creative solutions. The solutions these days are often associated with creative financing and being able to just keep our heads above water. Others find the passion inside that has been suppressed and yearning to get out! While for some this economy is discouraging and very hard emotionally, it can become the catalysis that changes lives forever. So while some of the world is focusing on the lack luster numbers, others of you are in the midst of the best moments of your lives!!!

Here at King we use the energy that is often only experienced under stress to create innovative solutions that benefit our loyal customers. From a long list of successful problem solving ideas including the King Drain, DryConn Connectors, Leak B Gone and soon another line of changed up connectors we drive hard to listen and respond.

This is a great time for us all to communicate. All of us here at King send our thanks for another year of serving, you our customers, and we look forward to hearing from you and how we can continue to serve you better.

May this holiday season reflect our thoughts of family, universal blessings and gratitude for all the good in our lives!

Who Knew, King Cooks!

Every year during the brisk fall season King Innovation holds a Chili Cook-Off to see who has what it takes to stir, season, and boil up their way to a victory.  This year King had six employees show off their skills in the kitchen, and there was quite a variety to sample!  From spicy and meaty to all vegetarian versions, these guys really showed us some good eatin’.  Congratulations to Sandy Wiseman, who cooked her way to a chili victory!!
