King Innovation Launches DryConn VisiLock with SmartGel Splice Box

O’FALLON, MISSOURI – King Innovation has announced the introduction of its newest product for cathodic protection, the DryConn VisiLock with SmartGel splice box. Designed for outdoor and direct-burial tap or branch cathodic splices, VisiLock is pre-filled with King’s innovative SmartGel, a non-toxic, waterproof, corrosion proof gel that insulates and encapsulates splices.

Featuring a re-enterable housing, VisiLock allows for visible examination of an encapsulated cathodic splice without opening the box with its semi-transparent housing design. Installation is easy with its one piece housing, eliminating the need for epoxy packs, two-part epoxy mixing and messy pouring methods. It also eradicates ambient temperature issues, set-up time, heat shrinks, primers, and tapes – saving installers time and money.

DryConn VisiLock includes mounting tabs that can be used to securely attach a housing to a structure. With a main wire range of #8 – #1/0, and a tap wire range of #12 – #4, VisiLock’s temperature rating is -40ºC to 90ºC (194ºF) for tap or branch cathodic splices up to 50V.
