That’s because King Innovation has been granted the black color trademark for all underground irrigation and landscape lighting waterproof connectors.
After over four years of working closely with trademark attorneys, the day has finally come when black means King, all the time. DryConn® original Black Series has become known in the industry as quality in waterproof irrigation connectors. Connectors are UL 486D Listed, rated 600V, and pre-filled with dielectric silicone sealant to tightly seal splices exposed to condensation, water vapors, or dust. Black Series Connectors are a Contractor’s first choice for irrigation installation and repairs, or for use in landscape lighting systems. King Innovation® Extends DryConn® Line of Connectors: GTSR™ Provides Strain Relief and Waterproofing for Superior Connections

O’FALLON, MO— King Innovation® has expanded its trusted line of DryConn® Waterproof Connectors to include a grease tube that provides waterproof protection with strain relief, the DryConn® GTSR with Yellow Nut.
The design of the DryConn GTSR combines a yellow nut with a grease tube, a great product for multiple applications. Splice wires with the UL Listed, flame retardant yellow nut. Next, insert the splice into a tube filled with petroleum grease that never hardens. The grease keeps connections waterproof and corrosion proof, while the lid and long tube provide strain relief to help maintain splices. With GTSR, you can be confident that your splice is well protected and your connection is secure.
Manufacturer approved for direct bury, the GTSR does not require a junction box for use in underground irrigation applications. It is also well suited for low voltage landscape lighting systems up to 50V. The yellow nut covers a variety of wire combinations between #18 – #10 AWG.
